Whenever I wish jet-setting to Europe on a whim was possible, I need only visit Fredericksburg. Plenty of architecture, good food, and adventures to be had right here in my home state. (Yes, the sky really was THAT blue...no filter needed!!)
And the houses? I'll take one of each please.
Walking around at golden hour made the day even better...all that yummy yellow light glinting on shiny windows and warming the stone walls? It's a wonder I didn't take even more photos than I did :D
Tried authentic German fare for the first time ever. And was completely sold. The Wiener Schnitzel, potatoes, and sauerkraut were delicious...definitely need to learn to make that sauerkraut on my own!
The Nimitz Museum also comes highly recommended by yours truly. The history of the Pacific War is fascinating, and you'll spend a few hours seeing everything and it's well worth it!
Shall I take more jaunts and 'send' you postcards like these?
