How do you put a friendship into words?
Sometimes you have to start at the beginning.
Laura and I met at church on a Sunday between December 2008 & January 2009. Initially, I think we liked each other, but as I had recently moved to Texas and Laura's family wasn't always able to attend services due to health issues, we didn't "click" until a few months later when we both enrolled in a photography course. (See that photo pun? Mhm, I'm smooth like that...okayyy moving on...)
Some of our assignments that week gave us many opportunities to bond as a group of students, and after it was all over, Laura and I became fast friends. She was convinced we were kindred spirits after my short impersonation of getting tipsy with root beer. But...we won't go there.
Since our launch into photography through IPS, this lovely lady and I have brainstormed, worked hard, laughed oh.so.much. started business, created too many inside jokes (seriously! we can't keep track of them all!) and realized that somehow, even though we're opposites in personality, we have the same brain.
Photographers need headshots at least every year, and the best part about being friends with a friend-and-their-camera is that they do anything you say, give you ideas, pose naturally, and get starry eyed about perfect lighting. #truestory
I had so much fun mixing a clean, modern style with some soft, light captures...
Seeing you take care of your awesome clients is so inspiring m'dear! Can't wait for all you have in store for 2017!!
